My name is Stephanie Lucy. I am a wife, mother, student and resident of Charlotte County. I chose my degree in Human Service Management because I knew I wanted to make a difference in people’s lives. With an understanding that this degree would only get me so far, I knew I needed to get personal with my community.

So far in 2015, through the Season of Sharing grant, the United Way of Charlotte County has distributed $215,000 to assist 278 families.

For the past year, the United Way of Charlotte County has had the honor of being involved in Aspirations to Actions an initiative of the Patterson Foundation. It started in August of 2014 with a 3 day Public Innovators Lab presented by Rich Harwood and the Harwood Institute for Public Innovation.
This week was a whirlwind, to put it mildly.
We kicked off our 50th Birthday Campaign with a goal of raising $950,000 in the next 4 months. It was a great event with over 110 volunteers giving their day to our local partners.
