As we embarked on our 50th Birthday Campaign, the United Way of Charlotte County identified a new mission to “lead the united effort to eliminate poverty by investing in our community”. Our Birthday Wish is a community without poverty.
With 40% of the people living in Charlotte living on the edge - our friends and neighbors are working hard, but falling short of what they need to consistently cover the basic costs of living.

When making decisions about giving away your hard-earned money, you can and should ask questions about your non-profit of choice. It is important to be informed about the mission and the results of past investments. Often in the community we hear that there may be some confusion about the United Way, so stick with us as we answer questions and bust myths about what it means to LIVE UNITED.
