Welcome Tricia LaPointe!

Tricia La Pointe holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Viterbo University in La Crosse, WI in Healthcare Administration.  Over the course of her 25 year career in development she has served as the fund development manager/director with not-for-profit organizations that serve women and children, developmentally disabled individuals, young women, cancer survivors, and survivors of domestic violence at organizations including the Chileda Foundation in La Crosse, WI; the Girl Scouts of Indian Waters Council in Eau Claire, WI; United Cerebral Palsy Center for Disability Services in Joliet, IL; Crisis Center for South Suburbia; in Tinley Park, IL; Cancer Support Center in Homewood, IL; and Family Rescue in Chicago, IL.  She has a proven ability to increase foundation and corporate giving, annual funds, and special event income.

I have always been drawn to organizations that work toward assisting individuals and families reach their full potential and I’m excited to be a part of the United Way of Charlotte County.  In my previous experiences, many of the organizations I've worked for have requested funding from our local United Way's, working in partnership for the community. At UWCC I am able to be a part of a team that is working county wide to break the cycle of poverty through education, financial stability and healthy lifestyles by assisting multiple agencies doing this important work.

My husband and I along with our cat, are excited to be making our move to the area, settling in Punta Gorda after a multi-year search for an area we felt at home.  I can’t wait to continue exploring great restaurants, boutiques, and meeting all my wonderful neighbors.
