Connecting people to local resources

What is 211?

211 is a free, confidential helpline available 24/7 that connects people to essential services in our community. Whether you need housing assistance, food support, child care, financial help, or crisis counseling, 211 is here to guide you.

How It Works

United Way Charlotte County has partnered with United Way of Lee County to ensure every call is answered by a trained specialist who understands local resources. Simply dial 2-1-1 or call (239) 433-3900 to get started. Calls are confidential, available in multiple languages, and designed for non-emergency assistance only.

Every hour of every day, someone in our community is searching for help—navigating housing challenges, seeking food, paying utilities, or coping with family and mental health struggles. 211 provides a single point of entry into Charlotte County’s network of services, ensuring people get the right help at the right time.

Why It Matters

When disaster strikes or unexpected challenges arise, 211 is a lifeline that helps families respond, recover, and rebuild. By connecting neighbors to critical services, 211 strengthens our community’s resiliency—making us more connected, supported, and ready to face challenges together.
