Charlotte 211 is not a part of United Way of Charlotte County. Charlotte 211’s database contains over 600 health and human service providers, representing local services available throughout Charlotte County. The goal is to expedite the exchange of information between customers and service providers.

Free Tax Prep

Appointments for the 2023 Tax Season are now full & closed. Please visit www.myfreetaxes.com if you need assistance filing your 2023 tax return.

The VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program offers free tax preparation and e-filing services to individuals and families with an annual household income at or below $66,000.

VITA tax preparers are certified by the IRS to ensure that clients receive all eligible Earned Income Tax Credits (EITC) and Child Tax Credits. In addition, clients save money by not having to pay fees associated with tax preparation.


United at Work

If you are an employee in Charlotte County, Florida who has unmet needs related to the hurricane, you may be eligible for help through United at Work.

United Way of Charlotte County has partnered with the Elsa & Peter Soderberg Charitable Foundation to provide assistance to victims of Hurricane Ian who are employed in Charlotte County. Funds will be disbursed to those who qualify.
