Text Box: WELCOME TO THE
UNITED WAY OF CHARLOTTE COUNTY
The United Way has been serving the Charlotte County community since 1966. For all these years, the generosity of donors has made possible programs that distribute basic needs and assistance, strengthen families, help kids succeed, prevent crime and violence and promote health and independence among the elderly. For more information about these programs, click here for a list of our Partner  Agencies.
The United Way draws on the resources of the entire community, both human and financial, to support programs in our area. Each of our member agencies relies on volunteers to help provide these critically needed services.

What Our Donors Are Saying....
--"I trust the United Way.  Specifically my trust of the Charlotte County United Way is engendered because of their organizational performance/integrity, method of selecting worthwhile agencies, monitoring recipient agencies' effectiveness, and fiscal responsibility."
---"I have seen the good that is done with the funds that go to United Way of Charlotte County first hand.  While I am not wealthy, by any means, I am better off than a lot of the citizens of Charlotte County and United Way provides me with a way to donate to a central place that responsibly sees that my money is used to the best advantage for those who need in my community."
--"I have lived in Charlotte County for the past 15 years.  I choose to donate in Charlotte County because that's where I live and work."
--"It takes more than government to care for the various needs of society. We have been blessed and feel a responsibility to help those less fortunate, support additional outlets for youth activities, education and sources of information. We can never know what it is like to walk in their shoes, but we can help them change shoes.  After all, we are our brother and sisters' keeper if we want to remain true to our beliefs.  There is also the satisfaction you get from helping others."
--"I appreciate the standards that UW upholds for donors and the fiduciary responsibility of partner agencies."
